No Borders – Gypsies in Germany
My photographic report about the life of Roma-gypsies in Germany was part of my portfolio for my degree in photojournalism. Due to the confidence of the gypsies I was able, with the passing of time, to get a close and intimate look at their lives. I included some pictures of the gypsies’ struggle to attain legal status in Germany and of the problems they faced in their countries of origin, i.e. the former Yugoslavia. In times of increasing xenophobia I wish to help make mutual understanding and acceptance possible. The report No borders -Gypsies in Germany consists of 40 large-size colour pictures, which may be rented for exhibitions.
