Rice farmers in the Philippines
Although they haven't caused the climate change, they are one of the victims of it: Hurricanes and salty soil due to floods have been creating trouble for Philippine rice farmers in recent years. Now they have started to help themselves by breeding more robust varieties and trying to get along with natural disasters through diversified agriculture. With a local NGO (Non governmental organization) I visited some farmers in affected parts of the country, stayed overnight in their huts and learned about the hospitality of the rural poor.
